Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of readylegal.net. The most important points are the first three: nothing on this site is legal advice, using the site does not make Ready Legal your lawyer, and you should not send confidential information until an engagement agreement is signed.
1. Who this site belongs to
readylegal.net is published by Ready Legal, the operating name of Travis McConnell, PLLC, a Florida professional limited liability company with an office in downtown Orlando, Florida. In these terms, "Ready Legal," "we," "us," and "our" refer to that firm. "You" refers to anyone who visits or uses the site.
By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. Nothing here is legal advice
Everything on this site, including the articles, guides, statutory summaries, calculators, and page content, is general information published for the public. It is not legal advice and is not a substitute for advice from a lawyer who knows your situation.
Law changes, and general statements do not account for the facts of any particular matter. Deadlines in construction, lien, eviction, and business disputes are often short and unforgiving. Do not act, or decline to act, based on anything you read here. Talk to a lawyer about your own circumstances.
3. Using this site does not make us your lawyer
No attorney-client relationship is created by visiting the site, reading anything on it, sending a message through a form, calling the phone number listed, or sending an email to an address listed here.
An attorney-client relationship with Ready Legal begins only when we and the client have signed a written engagement agreement identifying the matter and the scope of the representation. Until that happens, we are not your lawyers, we are not advising you, and we are not tracking any deadline in your matter.
4. Do not send confidential information
Please do not send us confidential or sensitive information through this site, by email, or by voicemail before we have signed an engagement agreement with you.
Information you send before a relationship exists may not be protected by the attorney-client privilege. We may already represent, or may later come to represent, someone whose interests are adverse to yours, and receiving your information does not prevent that. We may need to disclose or use unsolicited information. Send only what is necessary to let us decide whether we can talk with you.
5. Attorney advertising
This site may be considered attorney advertising in some jurisdictions. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Any awards, recognitions, or ratings shown are conferred by the organizations named and do not imply an endorsement, an approval by The Florida Bar, or a prediction about your matter.
6. Where we practice
Travis S. McConnell is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and before the courts identified on the Counsel page. Ready Legal maintains one office, in downtown Orlando, Florida, and serves clients throughout Central Florida from that office. The communities named on the service area pages are places we serve. We do not maintain an office in each of them.
Nothing on this site is an offer to practice law in any jurisdiction where we are not admitted, and we do not intend to solicit clients in those jurisdictions.
7. Calculators, timers, and forms
The site offers tools that estimate deadlines, generate budgets, or collect information about a potential matter. They are convenience aids built on general rules and on the values you enter. They are not a substitute for legal analysis, they do not account for exceptions or for the specific facts of your matter, and their output is not advice. Do not rely on any date, figure, or result produced by a tool on this site to protect a legal right.
8. Content on this site
The text, articles, images, video, layout, and design of this site are owned by Ready Legal or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may read, print, and share pages for your own non-commercial use, keeping any notices intact. You may not republish, sell, or use the content commercially without our written permission.
"Ready Legal" and the Ready Legal mark are used by the firm to identify its services. Other names and marks appearing on the site belong to their respective owners.
9. Links to other sites
The site links to statutes, court opinions, licensing boards, publications, and other outside resources. Those sites are not under our control. We link to them because they were useful when the page was written, and a link is not an endorsement of the site, its operator, or its accuracy. We are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.
10. The site is provided as is
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that the information on it is current or complete.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, Ready Legal will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, this site, including any damages resulting from reliance on information published here or from a missed deadline. This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law or under the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, and nothing here limits our obligations to an existing client under a signed engagement agreement.
12. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the site must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Severability
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect and the unenforceable provision will be applied to the greatest extent permitted by law.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms can go to admin@readylegal.net, or by mail to Ready Legal, 924 N. Magnolia Avenue, Suite 202, #1178, Orlando, FL 32803. Please do not include confidential information.
