About

Ready Legal is a business law firm focused on construction law and real estate litigation. Centrally located in Orlando, it serves all of Central Florida.

At Ready Legal, the belief is that small businesses are the backbone of Central Florida’s vibrant economy. Founded in the heart of Orlando, the firm was built with a singular mission: to provide cost-effective, personalized legal representation to the hardworking contractors, real estate professionals, and other entrepreneurs who keep the community growing.

Foundation

Ready Legal was established by Travis McConnell, a construction and business attorney. Mr. McConnell’s construction career began in 2013, as an Engineer officer in the Army Reserve. In this role, he served in various leadership positions, including commander of the 344th Engineer Company (SAPPER). He gained extensive project management and construction experience through his Army work and education. After finishing law school, Mr. McConnell completed JAOBC at Charlottesville, VA, and transferred to the Army JAG Corps. As a Judge Advocate Officer, he served as Trial Counsel (926th Engineer Brigade), National Defense Attorney (81st Readiness Division, Fort Jackson, SC), and assisted with other contract and fiscal law issues on individualized assignments.

While serving in the Army Reserve, Mr. McConnell worked at various private law firms, providing him with the opportunity to represent diverse business clients, ranging from Fortune-20 corporations to family-owned companies. Through this work in private practice, he developed a passion for serving small businesses. Thus, in 2023, Mr. McConnell resigned from the Army Reserve and his civilian position at one of the nation’s largest law firms in order to found Ready Legal.

Purpose

Ready Legal was born out of the idea that Orlando’s small business community should have access to prompt, personalized, and cost-effective legal representation in their times of need. This core value is embodied in the firm’s name: Ready Legal. In the United States’ reserve armed forces, “readiness” refers to a unit’s level of preparation, training, and discipline, so as to be available when called on with mission tasking. While many law firm names pay homage to the prestige of the firms’ attorneys (e.g. Johnson & Smith, P.A.), Ready Legal’s name pays homage to this core value of prompt and effective legal service to clients.

Clients First, Always

Ready Legal believes in the importance of individualized and consistent representation, putting clients first, always. That means three basic commitments to firm clients:

  1. Your legal matter will receive individualized attention and will not be ignored.
  2. When you call with a question, you will talk to your attorney, not a gatekeeper.
  3. As long as you are a client, your case will be handled by the same attorney.

Ready Legal is proud to stand beside Central Florida’s small business owners. Whether it’s navigating a complex construction dispute, negotiating a critical contract, resolving a landlord-tenant issue, or addressing everyday business challenges, the firm delivers results. Ready Legal understands that time is valuable and a business is its owner’s livelihood. That’s why the firm prioritizes accessibility, responsiveness, and practical solutions that work in the real world.

What sets Ready Legal apart is more than legal knowledge—it’s business judgment. As an entrepreneur-driven law firm, Ready Legal sees itself as a partner in its clients’ success, sharing their drive to grow and thrive. The firm speaks the language of its clients, whether they are pouring concrete, drafting blueprints, or managing rental property.

Ready Legal doesn’t just handle cases—it builds relationships.

Whether resolving today’s legal challenge or planning for tomorrow’s growth, the firm stands ready to help clients succeed, offering trusted counsel and a partner they can rely on. So, if you are seeking timely, personalized legal service for your business, please do not hesitate to …
